The Master's Degree in Economics of the Environment, Culture and Territory (EACT) is an advanced, multidisciplinary, and future-oriented two-year program offered jointly by the University of Turin and the Polytechnic of Turin, starting from the academic year 2021-22. The program is structured through the collaboration of three departments: the Department of Economics and Statistics (EST, UniTO), the Inter-University Department of Territorial Sciences, Projects and Policies (DIST, UniTO and POliTO) and the Department of Environmental Engineering, of Territory and Infrastructure (DIATI, PoliTO).
Within EACT, the Cultural Economics and Policy curriculum is designed to equip students with in-depth skills for analyzing territorial systems and leveraging cultural resources and creative industries as key drivers of local development, social cohesion, and quality of life. By specializing in Economics and Cultural Policies, students acquire the necessary tools to understand and manage the relationship between territorial dynamics and the valorization of historical and artistic heritage.
This specialization provides a strong foundation for careers in cultural policy-making, heritage management, and strategic planning for cultural and creative industries, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to cultural and economic development.
Alongside Cultural Economics and Policy, EACT also offers a second curricular path, Environmental Economics and Policy, which focuses on economic analysis and policy formulation in environmental sustainability and resource management.
